Open-Air Stage
Client: Open Art Roveredo
Location: Roveredo CH
Year: 2002
In collaboration with: R. Zecchino
The open stage in the Open Art sculpture park in Roveredo had to respond to various possible uses: a stage for art-performances, an open-air cinema and as a place to rest in the park. The intention was to create a kind of landmark that functions both as a usable object and a sculptural element – an open frame that offers new perceptions of the landscape. The structure was realized with local wood and placed in the landscape in such a way as to generate a natural amphitheatre.
The vertical part, which can be used for film projection, can also be laid down to form a larger surface, a kind of floating platform.
