50Fifty / Old-School

2002-06

50Fifty is a series of furniture, where selected elements, which could be considered for a "second" life, are taken from used furniture. This is the starting point to create new ones. As a rule is taken, that for each design, only one used and one new element is combined. The original function of the used one is shifted around and re-thought in it's structural and esthetical values. With the addition of a new designed element an unexpected new design is created, which at the same time has the historical content and patina of the reused one.

The 50Fifty / Old-school series, is made out of discarded Swiss school-furniture. This series was created between 2002-06 under the label ADPRZ (Antoine de Perrot, Renato Zecchino), and sold in different stores in Switzerland, Germany and France, like in the BlackBlock boutique of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, and shown in fairs like Blickfang in Zurich.
