50Fifty / Glass-Lights

50Fifty is a series of furniture, where selected elements, which could be considered for a "second" life, are taken from used furniture. This is the starting point to create new ones. As a rule is taken, that for each design, only one used and one new element is combined. The original function of the used one is shifted around and re-thought in it's structural and esthetical values. With the addition of a new designed element an unexpected new design is created, which at the same time has the historical content and patina of the reused one.

The motto for this Glass-Light series was: "Take the most horrible glasses you can find in a second-hand store and do the most beautiful light out of it."
